Terms of Service

1. The Service

SkinCap is a read-only price aggregator for CS2 skins. It collects publicly available prices and listings from third-party marketplaces and offers tools such as price history, watchlists, alerts, inventory valuation, and an AI Copilot. The Service is currently provided free of charge.

2. Account and Steam login

• You sign in using Steam. We never receive your Steam password or session credentials.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your Steam account secure.
• You must be old enough to hold a Steam account in your country to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service outside of features we provide.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security measures.
• Use the Service to break any law, infringe third-party rights, or harm others.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.

4. Prices and no financial advice

• Prices and statistics shown are indicative, aggregated from third-party sources, and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
• Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, or trading advice. Trading CS2 items carries risk, including the risk of loss.
• You are solely responsible for your trading and purchasing decisions.

5. Intellectual property and trademarks

The SkinCap name, design, and software are owned by Adrien Tranchant (entrepreneur individuel) or his licensors. Counter-Strike, CS2, and related marks and assets are trademarks of Valve Corporation.

SkinCap is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam, or any marketplace referenced on the Service.

6. Third-party content and links

The Service displays data from and links to third-party marketplaces. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, or transactions you make with them. Your use of any third-party marketplace is subject to its own terms.

7. Availability and "as is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate or current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adrien Tranchant (entrepreneur individuel) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for any loss arising from trading decisions, inaccurate prices, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable resolution, any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
